Chuck had a long career in the construction industry working mainly in the commercial sector, but his true passions in life were his family, animals, and being outside. Chuck was well known to those that loved him to be quite adept at practical jokes and even passed the skill down to the next generations that would come along. Any day spent outside grilling, playing games, fishing, or sitting on the deck was a great day by him. If he was not outside spending time in nature he was usually found among his vast record collection finding obscure cuts and listening to old favorites and introducing them to the younger generations. He especially loved teaching his daughter how to truly appreciate the poetry behind the lyrics in music.
Chuck is survived by his wife, of nearly 50 years, Suzie Kerr, whom he met while working at Montgomery Ward in the 1970s and was nearly inseparable from after that moment. They traveled the country in a homemade camper for their honeymoon and always said that they were "Looking forward to Looking Back" on all the wonderful memories they would make - and memories they did. He will be missed by his daughter, Amy Kerr and her partner, Devin Lloyd; his two adoring grandchildren, Aaralyn Hahn and Eamon Hahn; sisters, Kathleen and Karolyn; and brothers, William and Kenneth.
A private celebration of life will be held later this year for family and close friends. In lieu of sending flowers, because of Chuck’s love of the outdoors and all things nature, please consider planting a tree in his honor.
