Clara Scott

Mrs. Clara Scott, 90 of Frederick, MD, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ralph F. Scott.

Born January 15, 1917 in Frederick County, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles Marshall and Lillie Mae Weedon Smallwood.

Mrs. Scott was a member of the Ashbury United Methodist Church and a past member of the Friends of Frederick. She was an avid Orioles Fan.

She is survived by a daughter Constance V. Whims of Frederick, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren,
2 brothers Charles T. Smallwood, Sr. and wife Agnes of Petersville and Hiram M. Smallwood and wife Ivy of Sacramento, CA.,Brother-in-laws Richard Henderson of Brunswick, Otis Weedon and wife Joyce of Gaithersburg, Sister-in-law Doris Wachter and husband Marc of Germany, Special niece Clarice Foreman, special nephew Charles Smallwood, Jr., Many other nieces and nephews also survive.. Step-children Phyllis Weedon, Carol Swann, Bonnie Swann, Kathy Swann and Ralph Swann.

She will also be remembered by her special friends John and Josie Rosenthal of Phila., PA, Sam and Bernice Smith of N.J. and a host of devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons Philip C. Swann, Jr. Glenn M. Swann, grandson Tee Jay Swann, sister Ruth Henderson, brother Stewart Smallwood, Sr. and a sister-in-law Mamie Smallwood.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, March 1 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the Ashbury United Methodist Church, W. All Saints and Court Sts., Frederick on Friday, March 2, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Burton Mack officiating.
