Clarence Weslene Bishop, 74 of Knoxville, Maryland passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Elsie Louise Bishop.

Born April 20, 1932 in Virginia he was the son of the late Loyd and Rosa Mae Bishop.

Clarence retired as a tree culturist from the US Government. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed splitting fire wood on the side.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Cody.

In addition to his loving wife Elsie he is survived by six children, Elizabeth Liz Rose Wolford and husband David of Gaithersburg, MD., Brenda Louise Perry and husband Christopher of Stephens City, VA., Joyce Marie Thomas and Clinton of Germantown,Md., Steven Weslene Bishop and wife Dawn of Knoxville, Md., and David Allen Bishop of Knoxville, MD and Kenneth Lee Bishop and wife Catherine of Gaithersburg, MD, 12 grandchildren, John Scott, Raymond, Matthew, Amanda, Timmy, Sean, Kenny, Allen, Jessica, Christopher, Clark and Thomas, 3 great grandchildren, Kyle, Brianna, Hayli, two brothers, Tyler Bishop and wife Beulah and Fred Bishop and wife Shirleen, a sister-in-law, Shirley Bishop. He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Eula Cornelison and 2 brothers, Claude and Corbin Bishop.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick, MD on Friday, January 12, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 PM.

Services: A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Todd Westphal officiating.

The grandsons and son-in-laws will be serving as pallbearers.

Interment will be private.
