Collis Mae Ashley

Collis Mae Ashley, 81, of Frederick, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Ivan Ashley and a devoted mother to Oneil Ashley and Paul Ashley, who preceded her in death.

Born in Spalding, Jamaica, Collis was the cherished daughter of the late Horace and Beatrice (Powell) Reid.

With a heart for service, Collis dedicated 35 years of her life to caring for others through Holy Cross Home Health and Hospice, where she made a lasting impact on countless lives.

She is survived by her loving children: Bolivar Ashley, Clive Ashley, Christopher Ashley and his wife Emily, and Andrew Ashley. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Stanley, and sister, Gilda, along with six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her love and legacy.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Rockville Church of God, 726 Anderson Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850. A celebration of Collis’s life will follow at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Dr. Bevon H. White. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Memories of Collis will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
