Connie M. Hamilton Stevens went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2026, at the Kline Hospice House.

Born on August 20, 1961, in Frederick, Maryland, Connie was the daughter of Doris Weller Hamilton and the late James Howard Hamilton. She was a 1979 graduate of Linganore High School.

Connie was the loving wife of the late George Edward Stevens, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage. She was a dedicated employee of Homewood until her retirement. Connie thoroughly enjoyed the residents and her coworkers, forming many lasting friendships with those who were often by her side.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Amy Smith, and son-in-law, Thomas Smith; and her cherished grandchildren, Lane, Charlotte, and Austin. She is also survived by Gary Wayne Smith, Jr., who was like a son to her, sister-in-law Sharon Hamilton; brothers-in-law Robert “Bobby” Stevens and Douglas Stevens (Teresa); special friends Gary and Cheryl Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Lawson Hamilton and Douglas Howard Hamilton, Sr.; sister-in-law Rhonda Stevens, bestest friend Donna Jean Smith; in-laws John Robert Stevens and Ann Regina Stevens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4th, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5th, at 10:00 a.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
