Mr. Dale Rex Forrest, 56, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, (formerly of Sabillasville) passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Beth) M. Forrest, his wife of 26 years.
Born January 24, 1959 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Evelyn L. Green Forrest of Emmitsburg and the late Theodore T. Forrest.
Mr. Forrest was a graduate of Catoctin High School. He served his country in the US Marine Corps for four years. Dale worked for Minkoff Fire Restoration for 7 years and then Bruchey Builders, Inc for 17 years. He attended Mt. View Ministries of Thurmont, MD. and enjoyed camping and watching sports.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children Abbigail Forrest and Gregg McGaha of Gettysburg, PA, Nicholas Forrest of Frederick and Daniel Forrest of Blue Ridge Summit, a granddaughter Arwyne McGaha of Gettysburg, a sister Fay Kuhn of Sabillasville and a brother Dennis Forrest of Cascade, MD, 11 nephews, 5 nieces, many cousins and dearly loved friends. He was preceded in death by a sister Diane Black.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, MD., Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5:00pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Pastor Jeffrey Shaw will officiate the Memorial Service.
Interment private.
