Daniel J. Dick, 57, of Thurmont, passed from this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his home.

Born on July 25, 1968, in White Sulpher Springs, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Joyce Dick.

In 1986, Danny graduated from Catoctin High School. He worked in construction, did mechanical work, was a truck driver and mover with Wolfe's Moving Systems for 30 years.

Danny loved the beach, to hunt and fish, and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Nicholas, of Thurmont; children, Alicia (Jamie), DJ (Holly), Christopher, and Jenica; stepchildren, Justin, Joshua (Amanda), Amber (Bryson), and Megan; grandchildren, Camden, Owen, Saniya, Samuel, Kai, Johanna and Kyler, Rowan, Emma and Beckett; brothers and sisters, Chuck, Lissa (Richard), Tim (Shirley), and Tracey; and brother-in-law, Merle Moser.

He was preceded in death by his brother and sister; and his brothers-in-law.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Graceham Activities Building, 14026 Graceham Road in Thurmont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Frederick Health Hospice.
