Daniel Morrissey, Jr.

Daniel Patrick Morrissey, Jr., 34, of Hagerstown, passed from this life on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home.

Born on July 24, 1987, in Tyler, Texas, he was the son of the late Daniel P. Morrissey, Sr. and Kathy Theresé (Stevenson) Haskins of Hagerstown.

Daniel was a high school graduate and attended college. He was employed as a bartender manager for many years at The Ditch 40 in Winter Park Colorado.

Daniel, aka DJ, could light up the room whenever he walked in. He had a smile that just made people happy. DJ was well loved by many. He enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, and concerts, but most of all spending time with his friends and family. DJ always seen the best in every person he encounters.

In addition to his mother, Daniel is survived by his siblings, Kathy Haskins of Hagerstown, Kaden Willbern (Kristy) of Dallas, Allena Willbern of Tyler, and Susan Valentine (Justin); nephew, James Giffin, and nieces, Destiny and Summer Giffin of Knoxville/Sharpsburg; many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Starliper.

There will be no viewing. Services will be announced at a later date.
