Emmitsburg

David Roscoe Eyler, a cherished soul born on December 12, 1960, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, departed this world on December 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life deeply imbued with kindness, charisma, and a remarkable dedication to those around him.

For 23 remarkable years, David worked at Griffith Energy Services, where his exceptional work ethic and magnetic personality made him a beloved figure among his loyal customers. They would frequently request his presence, appreciating not just his expertise but the genuine warmth he brought into every interaction.

David's heart resonated most profoundly with his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Danielle Eyler, and his pride soared with the laughter and enthusiasm of his grandson, Jesse Eyler, who gave him boundless joy. In the moments they shared, it was evident how deeply they loved one another, a bond that transcended words.

His spirit sparkled most vibrantly during the Christmas season, when he reveled in the magic of “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Carol.” These traditions captured his belief in the goodness of life and community, celebrating the gift of family and togetherness. Whether working with his hands on model cars and trains or folding himself into the gift of laughter, David’s life was a tapestry woven from simple pleasures and rich memories.

In addition to his familial ties, David was known for his strong sense of community and faith, recently finding further purpose and peace when he was baptized at FCF Church last year, revealing a man who sought connection beyond the earthly realm.

David leaves behind a familial legacy, including his sisters, Debbie Eyler (Bob Thompson), Jeanne Davis (John), and his niece, Natalie Phelps (Mike). They, along with numerous friends and family, hold tight to the laughter and love he shared, drawing strength from the many memories they created together. He joins his beloved parents, Emmit and Marie Eyler, and his precious cat, Dunkin, who welcomes him with open paws.
