David C. Jordan, 90, of Woodbine, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Village Crossing at Worman’s Mill in Frederick.

Born on August 13, 1935, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late David C. Jordan and Frances Weston. David was the husband of Suzanne S. Jordan, his wife of 42 years.

David was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as an infantryman during the Korean War. He retired from Bell Atlantic, formally known as C&P Telephone, after 31 years. David enjoyed traveling around the USA and spending time with his friends and family. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and enjoyed volunteering at the church. David loved watching his nostalgic TV shows and took great delight in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are son Michael D. Jordan and granddaughter Linda M. Jordan; stepsons Tracy Mey and his wife Vera and Rick Mey and his wife Donna; several cousins; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, MD with Father Tim Grayson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Glenwood, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1426, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
