David Tompkins

David Michael Tompkins of Middletown, Maryland, passed away from this life and into Jesus’ loving embrace on October 6, 2021. David was a loving husband to Debbie Ross Tompkins for 21 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Joseph Tompkins.

He was employed by the American Pharmacists Association.  David loved riding his Harley Davidson, woodworking, and working in the garden. But mostly, he loved sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was involved in many activities at our church and the Vice President of our local Christian Motorcyclists Association Chapter.

In his last selfless act on earth, David was an organ and tissue donor and gave the gift of life to many others.  He will be loved and missed by family and friends and his beloved dog, Baxter.

In addition to his wife, Debbie, he is survived by five children, Mary Beth Reuwer and husband, RC, Laura Baker and husband, Frank, Joe Tompkins and wife, Rebecca, Zachary Tompkins and David Tompkins; father-in-law, Paul Thompson; mother-in-law, Betty Thompson; ten grandchildren, Elyssa, Christopher, Maison, Bailey, Henry, Harper, Claire, JoJo, Alex, Elijah; brother, Donnie Tompkins and wife, Suzi; sisters, Debbie Steffanina and husband, Jeff, Donna Sweetin and husband, Jeff, and Dana Tompkins; sisters-in-law, Sharon Tillotson, Angela Cantilena, Molly Brown and husband, Bernard. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702.

A celebration of David 's life will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Valley Baptist Church, 5678 Holter Road, Jefferson, MD.

Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in  Middletown, MD.
