Deborah Ann Phelps

Deborah Ann Phelps, 74, of Thurmont, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at her home.

Born on June 8, 1951, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Vernon Williams and the late Mary Alice Ranalli Williams. She was the wife of Olan P. Phelps, III, her husband of 30 years.

Deborah, the most adored mother. Devoted her life to raising, guiding, and forever loving her family. Cherished every moment with her grandchildren and always prioritized her family’s traditions. Her exceptional work ethic, dedicating 35 years to Medical Eye Center, all became part of her family. Her light will always shine ever so brightly through her enduring Faith and Love for our Lord.

Surviving in addition to her father and husband are her children Victoria, Heather, Brandon, Courtney, Carrie, Olan, Sierra and 9 grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Shrine, 16150 St. Anthony Rd., Emmitsburg, MD 21727. Inurnment will be at a later date.
