Devin James Roberts, 23, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at his home.
Born on October 2, 1991, in Hagerstown, he is the son of Marty W. and Tracey A. Roberts of Keedysville.
He was a 2009 graduate from Boonsboro High School where he played football and was involved in wrestling. He also had attended Lincoln Tech Institute.
Devin was also a baseball player with the South Mountain Little League and the Sharpsburg Little League where he had been a member of the All-Stars.
He was currently employed with Purcellville Electric in Purcellville, Virginia.
In addition to his love for sports, Devin had a passion for motorcycles, racing, cars and dogs. He was a special soul who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life, Megan Reynolds of Knoxville, Maryland; two sons, Levi J. Roberts and Kayden M.T. Reynolds; two sisters, Maria C. Roberts of Sharpsburg, Maryland, and Amanda L. Roberts of Keedysville; two nieces, Fallon and Madysen McCoy; two nephews, Brayden Weller and Aidan McCoy; maternal grandmother, Helen Williams of Alabama; maternal grandparents, Bob and Shawn Mangold; paternal grandmother, Asenath Roberts of Keedysville; five aunts, Juanita Bossler, Tammy Jenkins, Wendy Sewell, Elaine Robinette, and Bernice Roberts; and many uncles, including Hank, Gerald, Mark, Darryl, and Randy Roberts. He is also survived by his cousin Shane Roberts as well as many other cousins.
Devin was preceded in death by his faithful and loving dog, Daisy; and his paternal grandfather, James W. Roberts.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Joseph C. Burdette, Sr. will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Brownsville Heights Cemetery in Brownsville, Maryland.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations will be collected for a trust fund for his two sons with donations made payable to Tracey A. Roberts, c/o Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, 21713.
