Dolores Eve Beals, a cherished and beloved woman known for her kindness, devoted spirit, and heartfelt presence, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, returning to the Lord at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Claude "Bud" Beals for 35 years.
Born on October 5, 1933, in Baltimore City, MD, Dolores was the daughter of the late John Winters and Eva Marie (Rawlins) Wilkinson. She was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School in Baltimore, Maryland. Furthering her education, Dolores completed her studies at Villa Julie College, now Stevenson University, where she laid the foundation for a life marked by service and commitment. Dolores began her professional career working diligently alongside a physician at Wilmer Eye, contributing several meaningful years in the medical office. Her steadfast work ethic and dedication led her to a distinguished seventeen-year tenure with I.B.M., where she contributed to the company with the same grace and diligence she showed in all endeavors.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dolores held a special place for her family. She was devoted to her stepchildren, nieces and nephews, always remembering their birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations, showcasing a remarkable memory and a heartfelt dedication to the milestones of those she loved. Dolores also found joy in her retirement years, sharing moments of serenity and adventure with her late husband, Claude “Bud” Beals. Together, they sailed the picturesque Chesapeake Bay on their sailboat, DoLevir, a name affectionately inspired by the sisters Dolores, Eve, and Virginia. Dolores was a devoted volunteer at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Her compassion and willingness to serve touched many lives over the years. She also took great pleasure in her vegetable garden and gardening, nurturing life and beauty with the same care that defined her character.
She is survived by two sisters, Eve Elizabeth Brooks, and Virginia Eve Wilkinson: her stepchildren John David Beals, Vickie Stevens and Linda S. Beals, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by her brother John Wilkinsonand her husband, Claude Beals.
