Dolores Margaret Evans

Dolores Margaret Evans, 98, of New Market MD, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026. 

She lived at Country Meadows Senior Living in Frederick MD.

Dolores was born in Solvay, New York, in March 1928, to Frank and Margaret Bagozzi. She had 2 sisters, Betty and Patty, and a younger brother, Frank.

Dolores married Evan Bowen Evans after the war in 1953. They had six children: Bronwyn, twins Heidi and Morgan, Evan, Glynis and Megan. Dolores was an exemplary mother. She raised her children with sacrifice and resilience. She was always someone they could go to for advice, love, and comfort. Her family was everything to her.

Dolores was always popular, with many friends. She loved to have fun, and was known for her spunk and humor. Dolores was an excellent cook. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and dressing up in costumes. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by family and friends. She was the life of the party and will be missed by many.

Dolores was preceded in death by: Evan Bowen Evans, her husband, and Morgan, her son, She was the last to live in the Bagozzi family. Left to cherish her memory are: Daughters, Bronwyn, Heidi, Glynis, and Megan, and son Evan. Sons in law Skip, David Daughter in law Claudia. Dolores had ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Dolores’s family will honor her life in Spring 2027. Details will be announced through St. Peter’s church as they develop.
