Donald Jarvis

Donald Jarvis, 75, of Adamstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his home in Adamstown, Maryland. Born on August 10, 1948, in Knoxville, MD, he was the son of the late Elmer Thomas Jarvis and Evelyn Marie Jarvis (Virts).

Donnie was always surrounded by his family and church family. He enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events, attending church every Sunday, watching sports with his family, and always making people smile with his jokes. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Sue Jarvis, children Darren and his wife Mary, daughter Melinda Wood and husband Mike. Grandsons Brian and Matthew Kidd, granddaughter Rachel Jarvis and her fiancé, Austin Myers, and great-grandson Joziah Wynn, survived by siblings Ann Koontz, Evelyn Fox, Judy Knight (Gene), Kitty Knight (Ernie), Bobby Jarvis (Doreen), Linda Abrecht (Frank), June Jarvis (Tommy), and Sibby Summers (Roy). 

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Marie Jarvis, brothers Lee and Larry Jarvis, and grandson Nicholas Jarvis. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702.

A celebration of Donald's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow immediately after services, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
