Donald Spencer Rich born July 26, 1943 to January 29, 2026. He was born and raised in Kew Gardens, Queens.
He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. While in high school he was awarded a grant to build a robot. He appeared with the invention on the TV show ‘I’ve Got a Secret.’ He went on to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science. Upon graduation he went to work for Boeing Aerospace in Seattle. Later returning to New Jersey. He worked at Allied Chemical before starting several of his own business ventures.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene Rich, Miriam Hirschman Rich and brother Robert. He is survived by wife Martha Koslan Rich and four children: Henry, Jonathan, Rebecca, Michael, their spouses Julie, Jack, Krista and grandchildren: Noah, Lily, Isaac, Oliver, Adrian, Lena and Eli.
Per the deceased’s wishes there will be a private remembrance.
