Donald E. Stine

Donald E. Stine, 83, of Thurmont, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2026.
Born on August 21, 1942, in Frederick, Maryland, he was the son of the late Walter Stine and Annie Kessling Stine.

He was a loving husband to Patsy E. Stine for 57 years.

Donald spent his early years riding bulls, and bull doggin in rodeos all over the U.S. He then became a brick and block mason and built many beautiful buildings until he retired at the age of 61. He then worked at Glassier's Glass Co, until his health declined in 2023.

He enjoyed football, camping, bluegrass, and old county music, a favorite of his being Meryl Haggert. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and close friends.

Donald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Ressler and her husband Steve: daughter Misty Sparkman and her husband Thomas, eight grandchildren, Amanda Palmer, Kristine Daywalt, Brandie Shindledecker, Shawn Sparkman, Ashley Ressler, Chelsea Sparkman, Elizabeth Kerns and Autumn Noll. He is also survived by sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Donald is preceded in death by his three brothers, Daniel Stine, Charles Stine, and Walter Stine.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, Maryland.

A celebration of Donald's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the funeral home with Deacon Joe Wolf officiating. Interment will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Emmitsburg, MD.
