Donna Kay McDonald

Donna McDonald, 78, of Walkersville, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at her home. Born on August 1, 1946, in Baltimore City, she was the daughter of Edward Emil Salvarola and Mary Donalda (Crispino) Salvarola.

Donna graduated from Dundalk High School and received her Associate Degree from Frederick Community College. She retired in 2013 after nearly 40 years working in data management at Fort Detrick.

She was an original founding member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, and was active in various ministries including the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Religious Education of Children, and she had a special devotion to the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Donna is survived by four children: Michael McDonald and wife Dawn, Jennifer Campbell, Robert McDonald, and Roger McDonald; twelve grandchildren: Victoria Campbell, Andrea Campbell, Joseph Campbell, Timothy Campbell, Chloe McDonald, Gabriel McDonald, Jinan Rhodes, Noah Mcelmurry, Yusef Mcelmurry, Khy Mcelmurry, Laith Machhour, and Audra Adams, as well as six great-grandchildren: Donald, J.T., Zadkiel, Mateo, Luca, and Reagan. She is also survived by a sister, Cynthia Salvarola, as well as numerous extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22 from 10 to 11 AM at St. Timothy, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville. A Memorial Mass will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 AM, Monsignor Richard Murphy officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with her tradition of giving, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to a charity of one's choice.
