Dora "Skip" Knott , 94, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Creekside Village/Ravenwood Nursing Care Center in Hagerstown.
She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Knott who died on 2/2/2022, they were married for 74 years.
Born on April 16, 1930, in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Herbert J. and Mary Bertha Topper Miller.
Skip was a seamstress for Claire Frock in Thurmont but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother
Surviving are eight children: Joseph Knott, Diane Stup, Debra Eyler, Denise Bernstein, Daphne Reckley, Dale Knott, Douglas Knott and Dean Knott; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; a sister Louise Orndorff, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
