Doris Danner

Mrs. Doris Rebecca Whipp Danner, 83, of Thurmont, MD, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Ministries, in Emmitsburg. She was the wife of James Danner, her husband, of 60 years.
Born January 6, 1932, in Shookstown, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Helen Whipp.
Doris worked at Hillside Turkey Farms for many years and enjoyed reading, sewing, and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Debbie Burrier and husband, Barry, Jana Biser and husband, Paul, and Sharon Baker and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Laurie Atwell and husband, Tim, Sarah and Samantha Biser and Miranda and Dustin Baker; and great-grandson Colton Atwell. She is also survived by brothers, Bernard Whipp of Lawton, OK and Ralph Whipp of Fairfield, PA.
She was predeceased by daughter, Karen Forney and brothers, Robert and Harold Whipp.
There will be no visiting or calling at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
