Edgar Norbert Auge'

Edgar Norbert Augé, 76, passed away peacefully July 17th, 2023 at his residence in Frederick, Maryland.

Born October 12th, 1946 in Hempstead, New York, Edgar was the son of the late Edgar A. and Catalina Gallagher Augé. As a young child, Edgar travelled and lived in many countries around the world because of his father’s business.

He received his education in New York, Paris, and Mexico City. Before leaving Mexico City, Edgar pursued his passion of playing soccer. After returning to the United States, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1973.

For 40 years, Edgar worked in the automotive industry at various dealerships throughout Frederick County as a service manager-most notably, at Fredericktowne Toyota. In his spare time, Edgar enjoyed spending time barbecuing on the weekends with his family, watching and attending NASCAR races, and was an avid Redskins fan.

Edgar is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie, and together raised four children, Edgar (wife Jessica), Michael, and Brian. He is also survived by his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Andrea Marie in 2022.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
