After high school, Edna went to work at Ft. Meade as a clerk/typist, which is where she eventually met the love of her life, Steve. She had been a member for 58 years, joining the Unity Chapter in 1968. She had been a Guardian for Jobs Daughters, a past Worthy Matron in 1979 and 1988. Edna was also a Grand Martha in 1984 and Grand Marshal in 1987.
