Edna Louise Kern

Ms. Edna “Louise” Kern,95, of Frederick, Maryland passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 12, at Northampton Manor Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Kern and her partner of 20 years, Charles Bettis.

Louise “Weesie” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren is survived by her daughter Charlotte Beacht (Gerry) and her son John “Wayne” Kern (Donna). Her grandchildren are Cheri Harkey (Brian), Kristi Kruse, and Ricky and Kayla Kern.

She always enjoyed her great-grandchildren Tysen & Parker Kruse, and Samantha & Jake Harkey on their outings to Chick-Fil-A.
    
Louise worked at several companies during her career, but her favorite position was in the cafeteria serving students at Frederick County schools. She was best known outside of work for baking special cakes for different occasions.

Louise was a member of Parkway Community Church. She enjoyed her adult Sunday School class and loved bringing her cakes for their services. She will be missed, but always in our hearts.
