Edward E Day of Mount Airy, MD, husband to Margie H Day (deceased), has quietly passed
away shortly after celebrating his 101st birthday.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Read, his son Greg Day with wife Theresa, and Ed’s three grandchildren, Nicholas Day , Rachel Day Thompson, and Jack Day.
Ed’s career spanned 40 years as a service director in the auto industry followed by 30 years
providing security services for various government agencies. He has served the community with
the National Guard, the Civil Defense, the Mount Airy Lions Club, and is a FreeMason.
A private family service will be held at Ed’s final resting place, the Locust Grove Church of the
Brethren, Mt Airy, MD
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to Gilchrist or the Alzheimer’s Association would be
appreciated.
