Edward V. Eilertson

Edward V. Eilertson, 93, of Monrovia, Maryland, passed away from this life on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

He was born in Washington, D.C. and was the son of the late Robert T. & Blanche R. Eilertson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva L. Eilertson, who passed away in 2000. They were married for over 45 years. Together they had three daughters. In 1992, they retired and moved to Monrovia. They were members of Montgomery United Methodist Church and the Prime Timers. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family; driving his old GMC truck to events and going on hunting/fishing trips with his son-in-law Tom. There was never a dull moment around Ed, who often told colorful stories from his past.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. in 1988.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Graves (Tom Graves): grandchildren, Ryan Graves (Julie Graves), Sean Stevens (Erin Stevens), Kara Mullinix (Steve Mullinix), and Wayne Stevens. Great-grandchildren; Mack, Cole, Autumn, Erik, Wesley, Ivy, and Nora. He is also survived by his sister, Louise Ferrell. He is also preceded in death by his daughters Linda Stevens & Eileen Eilertson.

The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702.

Burial services will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in lieu of flowers.
