Edward William "Eddie" Rhoderick

Edward William "Eddie" Rhoderick, 67, of Mt. Airy, died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital following a brief illness. 

Born September 23, 1956 in Frederick, he was the son of Evelyn "Jenny" Rhoderick and the late Charles William Rhoderick, Jr. 

Eddie was a dedicated employee at Gladhill Tractor for 50 years, beginning as a work study student while in high school. He worked in the parts department, where many customers knew him as "Eddie the parts guy."

He was an avid collector of John Deere toys, parts, and old tools. He loved Nascar racing and the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed watching Nascar races on Sundays and went to several over the years. 

He was a devoted worker in all that he did. Additionally, he volunteered at many events over the years at Grace Rocky Hill Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Kevin Rhoderick Sr. of Frederick, Kyle Rhoderick of Frederick, and Olivia Rhoderick of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren, Kevin Jr. and Treasure; sister, Deborah Bofinger (Robert) of New Market; brother, Wayne Rhoderick (Cindy) of Mt. Airy; nieces, nephews, many friends, and numerous customers he assisted over the years.

His children were the most important people in his life. Eddie was loved by all and will be greatly missed. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. 

A celebration of Eddie's life will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 26 from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ron Brown officiating. 

Interment will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery, Woodsboro.
