Edward Lee Rohrer

Edward Lee "Pete" Rohrer, 83,of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. He is the husband of nearly 60 years of Connie (Reese) Rohrer.

Born on December 31, 1942 in Sharpsburg, MD, he was the son of the late Willard "Skip" Rohrer and Phyllis (Alderton) Rohrer.

A 1960 graduate of Boonsboro High School, Pete built a life marked by steady work and dedication. He was a longtime employee of General Motors, where he spent much of his working life. Earlier in his career, he worked at Marquette Cement. He also enjoyed spending time working at Connie’s family’s market, Boonsboro Produce. During the holidays, Pete loved going to the Eastern Shore and bringing back oysters to family and friends. His hobby in his early years was raising and training English Pointer Dogs and running them in field trials. He loved playing golf and selling golf clubs on Marketplace and talking to young golfers who came as buyers.

Pete also proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and service.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Carolyn Shaw and husband Ted, several cousins, numerous sisters and brothers in law plus many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Marie Rohrer as a devoted father he greatly missed her and his brother, Michael Rohrer.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m on Monday, November 9, 2026 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713 where a celebration of Pete's life journey will take place at 2 p.m. Pastor Reinhardt Stander will officiate. Interment will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.
