Edward L. Thomas

Edward L. Thomas , 82, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.  He was the beloved husband of Sharon Thomas. 

Born on February 7, 1941, in Keedysville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Dorothy M. Ellis.

Edward spent most of his life working as a mechanic.  He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He spent most of his time with his loving wife of 63 years.

He is survived by wife, Sharon R. Thomas, daughters, Wendy Thomas, Julie Reese and her husband John; grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Codee and Kaylie and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather, grandparents and grandson, Josh Plyler

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland were a celebration of Edward's life journey will take place at 2 pm. Interment will be private.
