Mr. Edward J. Woody Wooden, 88, of Mt. Airy died on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Mt. Airy. He was the husband of Eloise Elizabeth Frizzell Wooden.
Born on August 5, 1920 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Thomas Leo and Mary G. Brown Wooden. He was a truck driver. Mr. Wooden was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Woody enjoyed going to flea markets and was a Baltimore Colts fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Patsy Smith of Mt Airy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wooden was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
Services: Private services will take place at Stauffer Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with interment in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.
