Mr. Edward Sherlock {Barney} Nicholson, 83, of Frederick, died on Monday, September 17, 2007.
Born on October 26, 1923, in Thurmont he was the son of the late Edward A. and Edna Gall Nicholson. He was a graphic artist working for both Hecht's and Hutzler's in Towson. Mr. Nicholson served in the U.S. Army during WWII, stationed in Germany.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Marlene Nicholson; nieces and nephews: Patricia Shank, Bruce Shank, Billy Shank and Alex Kidwell who with his father, Ray Kidwell have been caring for him.
Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters: Vernon W. Nicholson, Sonny Nicholson, Gloria Green, Lillian Nicholson, Evelyn Bonney and a niece, Joann Kidwell.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, September 19 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street in Thurmont.
Services:
Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 20 with Rev. Les Simms of Trinity United Church of Christ officiating.
Interment will be in Wellers Cemetery, Thurmont.
