Mrs. Elizabeth G. Myers, 92, of Brunswick, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late W. Carlos Myers, who died on Feb. 23, 1997.
Born June 27, 1920 in Loudon County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Essie M. Hawes Frye.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Mrs. Myers never met a person she didn't like, and was affectionately known as a grandmother to her entire neighborhood.
She is survived by her son, William C. Myers, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Frederick; two grandsons, Bradley Myers and wife, Alicia, of Charles Town, W.Va., and Clayton Myers of Frederick; and two great-grandsons, Hunter Myers and Preston Myers.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, 7 South Maryland Ave., Brunswick, MD 21716.
