Mrs. Emily Mom Mom Harper, 91, of Jefferson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Kline Hospice House. She was the beloved wife for 64 years of Robert L. Harper who died August 12, 2002.
Born February 6, 1919 in Gaithersburg, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Charles Algernon and Evora Fulks.
Mrs. Harper was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. She retired as a loan officer from Perpetual Building Association, Washington, D.C.
She also served as a mortgage officer at Farmers and Mechanics Bank, Frederick and Fredericktown Bank, Frederick.
In 2007 she was honored by The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution for her 60 years as a member. She also volunteered for many years at Frederick Memorial Hospital and Valley Elementary School.
Mrs. Harper was dearly loved by her children Robert T. Harper and wife Kathleen of Frederick, and her daughter Ellen R. Derflinger and husband Bruce of Jefferson. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, on whom she made a lasting impression, Bryan L. Harper and wife Sherry, Valerie A. Reifschneider and husband Rob, Sarah R. Harrison and husband Steve. She was also the loving great-grandmother of Bryan Harper, Jr., Jade Harper, Mariam Harper and Macie Harrison. She also was loved by the Scoggin nieces and nephews, and her many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas O. Gloyd.
Her children wish to extend their deepest appreciation to the Kline Hospice House staff
for the loving care they provided to Mom Mom and helping the family through this difficult
time.

Services:
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Sandi Evans Rogers will officiate at the service celebrating her life.
Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be private.
