Frances Mary Lee “Mary” Surber, age 79, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Medstar Hospital in Olney, Maryland. Born on April 4, 1946 in Suburban Hospital, Bethesda Maryland to James O. and Virginia Lee Alexander.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Kathy Urovsky (Dave), brother James E. Alexander (Estelle), grandchildren Heather Taylor, Corey Reece, and Mac Reece; great-grandchildren, Logan Taylor, Grayson Taylor, and Landon Taylor; and numerous extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charlie Surber, son Jerry Wayne Surber, her parents, brother Dennis Alexander.
A dedicated wife, mom and grandmother, She especially enjoyed spending time with her daughter and granddaughter shopping and being in the kitchen them. She enjoyed her great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all of us.
A small grave side service will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:30 am at Parklawn Cemetery 12800 Viersmill Road, Rockville, MD 20853.
