Frances Wagner

Mrs. Frances Jane Conaway Wagner, 82, passed away February 5, 2011.  She was preceded in death by her parents Frank A. Conaway and Minnie Bellison Conaway.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years Robert Wilson Wagner; three sons: Robert Conaway Wagner (Susan), David Francis Wagner (Patti), and Douglas Wilson Wagner (Jo); sister Caroline Bell Conaway Richards (P. Joseph); five grandchildren: Matthew David, Andrew Wilson, Adam Gregory, Rebekah Luise, and Robert William; one great grandson: Ian Gregory; nieces and nephews Mark (Debbie), Beth, Frances (Harry), and Tim Richards, Linda Fowble, Megan (Ron), and Bennett Smith.  She was a graduate of Mount Airy Elementary, Mount Airy High School, and the 1949 class of Western Maryland College.  She was an elementary teacher at Mount Airy Elementary, active in leadership roles in several civic organizations, and a lifelong member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she served as organist for 24 years.

Visitation will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy, MD.,  from 3-5 & 7-9pm on Thursday February 10, then again on Friday February 11, 2011 from 10:30am until time of Funeral Services at 11:00am at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 South Main Street, Mt. Airy, MD, 21771. The Reverend Dennis Yocum and Reverend Beth Richards will officiate. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Organ Fund at Calvary United Methodist Church at the above address.
