Freda V. Wilson

Mrs. Freda V. Wilson, 94 of Frederick, Md. (formerly of Hyndman, PA and Lavale, MD) died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at the Glade Valley Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Floyd Wilson who died in March of 1998.

Born December 14, 1913 in Hyndman, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Lowery Sisler.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Cooks Mills Methodist Church in PA.

In earlier years she worked at F W Woolworth's and Wicke's Lumber Co., where she retired in 1976. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband after her retirement

She is survived by four children Carroll Naik and husband Anadi, Kenneth Wilson and wife Doris of Mt. Airy, Paul Wilson and Mary Jodon of Frederick. Five grandchildren Robin Smith and husband Gerald of Ocean Pines, MD., Martin Humbertson and wife Debra of Alexandria, VA, Jonathan Wilson of Winston Salem, NC, Jason Jodon and wife Cathy of Spring Hill, TN and Michele Miller and husband Brian of Cerritos, CA, eight great grandchildren and a sister Geraldine Lafferty of Hyndman, PA..

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy, MD, Saturday January 6, 2007 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 7, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Lisa Bandel-Sparks officiating.
Interment services will be held at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, MD., Tuesday, January 9, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jack George officiating.
