Gabriela Licenga, 89, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Warm Heart Family Assisted Living in Mt. Airy, MD.
She is preceded by her parents Mr. Simiao Lissenga and Mrs. Elezina Cumbula of Catembe, Maputo Province in Mozambique and siblings Molina Angelica Lissenga, Obete Lissenga, and Estrela (Nyeleti) Guiba. She is survived by her younger sister Ana Bela Rebecca (Vivana) Lissenga.
She is preceded by her husband Henrique Job Chaluco and children Alfredo Henrique Chaluco and Emilia Ruth Murindagomo. She is celebrated in her transition to Glory by her children: Eduardo Timoteo Chaluco, Natalia Adelina Serapiao, Marieta Gabriela Bingatati, Darcilo Armando Chaluco, Henrique Job Chaluco (JR.), Elizabeth Nkomo Chaluco, and Deodete Thaveni Chaluco; Grandchildren: Luis Henrique Serapiao,Filipa Candida Deslandes (Candi), Timoteo Eduardo Chaluco (Tito), Fatima Djapissana Chaluco, Elton Wilder Alfredo Chaluco (Dino), Henrique Alfredo Chaluco (Bumgo), Gabriela Rebecca Chaluco (Beca), Patrick Henrique Murindagomo, Darcilo Tinashe Murindagomo (Dee), Tabani Daniel Manyika, Kayla Psungo, Edson Chaluco, Kevin Henrique Chaluco and Adia Chantel Chaluco; Great-grandchildren, Sumaya Nayara de Carvalho, Chazia de Fatima Murerriua, Taylor Simone Deslandes, Nathan Kahil Chaluco, Faith Kassia Chaluco, Tiara Agatha Chaluco, Emanuel Timoteo Chaluco, Adam Mohamad Jaward, Hassan Issam Makki, Wandulla Aurora Chaluco, Lukanda Josefa Chaluco, Ariana Chicane and Leano Moloatse. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews; cousins, in-laws; her life-long friends and a global community of “adopted” daughters & sons.
She was a wonderful, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister; friend, but above all she was a phenomenal woman who will be missed by everyone who knew her. Her lessons will live in us forever, and we will be consoled by remembering her favorite words of assurance and comfort.

The family will receive friends from 6-6:30 pm on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pikein Frederick, MD where a celebration of Gabriela's life journey will take place at 6:30 pm.
A graveside service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD, 515 S Market St, Frederick, MD 21701.
Memorial donations may be made to the daughters (Natalia Serapiao & Marieta G. Bingatati).
