Garrett Nathanial Martin-Poole

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Garrett Nathanial Martin-Poole, 18 who resided at his home in Middletown, MD., with his loving family. Garrett went to his heavenly home 08/29/25 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Children’s Center, surrounded by his mother, grandmother and phenomenal doctors, Dr. Billy and Dr. Jess.

Garrett had an awesome personality that was larger than life. He had the most amazing and infectious smile and never met a stranger. Anyone privileged enough to meet him, immediately fell in love with him.

Garrett attended Rock Creek School for many years, making lifelong friends. He was blessed with four phenomenal teachers, Miss Sherry, Miss Nita, Miss Linda and Miss Pam.

Garrett had a multitude of friends who he loved and who loved him dearly. Garrett was the nucleus of his family. He treasured many special memories with each one.

For almost 19 years Garrett enjoyed time with his loving family, camping, listening to his favorite country artists, trips to the beach. He loved the sound of waves, sitting outside in nature listening to the birds and feeling a cool fall breeze. His favorite pastime was mowing, mimicking the sound of the tractor.

Garrett was the loving only child of his mother, Kylene Nicole Martin. He was her entire world, her hero, and earth angel. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving, devoted grandparents Billie Jean Miller Martin Winpigler, Bion Winpigler and Richard Martin all of Middletown, MD., a very special brother Michael Frickman (Amanda) of Angiers, N.C. Two devoted and loving uncles Chad Martin (Georgia) and Ryan Winpigler (Taylor). Garrett had a unique and loving relationship with cousins Gillian Martin and Dalton Martin, who were more like siblings. They adored each other and made so many lasting memories together. Cousins, Brantley Koontz, Connor Frickman, Briggs Winpigler, and baby Atley Winpigler. Garrett is also survived by special aunts/uncles Aunt Pamela Lesperance, Aunt Geneva (Nevie), and Uncle Tom Crummitt.

Garrett was preceded in death by great grandparents Donna Jean and Ronald Miller, Norma Martin and bonus grandmother Cindy Deater, great aunt Nettie Smith and great, great aunt Carolina Crum and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Garrett loved his special pups throughout his life, especially Max, Duke, Karma, Gunner, Tucker, Shadow, Nova, and Hondo.

There will be no visitation or viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
