Mr. George “ Kirby “ Carroll, 68, of Frederick, died on Monday, August 22 nd , 2011
Born on January 25 th , 1943 in Frederick, he was a son of the late Melvin and Naomi ( Carroll ) Carroll. Mr. Carroll previously operated his own business in the Frederick area. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and nature in general. He had a green thumb tending to his plants and liked music. He cherished his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are 4 children, Donrao Carroll and wife Latisha, George Carroll, Kimberly Waddy and husband David, Cynthia Norman, 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, Cornelia Dickerson, Sandra Jones, Anita Harris, Doris Harrison, Mary Louise Jefferson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Catherine Bowins and brother Melvin Carroll, Jr.
Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Friday, August 26 th , from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Services at the funeral home on Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Merle Lyles officiating. Interment in Hope Hill Cemetery. Online condolences to the family at www.staufferfuneralhome.com
