Gloria J. Cline
Born August 14, 1942, in San Angelo, TX, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. Crosswhite, Sr. and Ruth (Bale) Crosswhite.
Gloria had been employed by Sheetz for 16 years, working in a few area stores, until her retirement. An avid reader, she also enjoyed traveling and shopping as well as knitting, crocheting and riding roller coasters with her husband Jerry. Gloria had been an active and faithful member of the Church of God at Mercersburg, PA.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Donna (Wayne) Jones and Mary Jo (Stephen Williams) Zimmerman and sons, John (Mary) Gooding and Jeffery (Beverly) Sharer; stepdaughters, Brenda (Jeff) Kimble, Annette Cline and Lisa (Leroy) Haupt and stepsons, Randy (Marianne) Cline, Jerry L. Cline, Jr. and Jerry Paul (Rebecca) Cline; sisters, Marie Reeb and Jessica Johnson, and half-brother, Raymond Johnson, Jr. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including, Michael Sharer, Sheridan Sharer, Jaylynn Sharer, Abbegail (Walter) Leary, Holly Zimmerman, Brandi (Ryan) Bechard and Layden, Ashla Parrish (daughter: Miracle Stana Seth), LeAnna Barnhart, Jason Latta (children: Travis, Derek, Dylan, Daisy Latta) and Joe Latta (daughter and son: Lauren and Charles Latta) as well as her many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 20 years, Jerry L. Cline, Sr., who passed away July 22, 2010, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Sharer; brother, Joseph E. Crosswhite, Jr., and half-sister, Maria Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Boonsboro Cemetery following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God at Mercersburg, P.O. Box 302, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
