Gregory Jay MacIntosh, Jr.

May 11, 1982 — February 18, 2024

Brunswick

Gregory Jay MacIntosh, Jr., 41, of Brunswick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.  He was the beloved husband of Nicole MacIntosh for 10 years, but they spent more than 18 years together.

Born on May 11, 1982, in West Virginia, he was the son of Gregory J. MacIntosh and Wendy (Hamilton) Carter. Greg grew up in Brunswick, Maryland where he spent the majority of his life and surrounded himself with his family and those who meant the most to him. Greg was a man with a big heart, and everyone knew him by his smile, laugh and the light he brought with him when he'd enter a room. He spent all of his life loving all kinds of sports, especially football. He played when he was young and continued his passion through his oldest son, Shea. He enjoyed taking his sons, Levi and Shea, fishing, sled riding, teaching them how to ride bikes and how to be young men. He helped his stepdaughter learn how to walk at the age of 3 and they have had an unbreakable bond from then on. He was an avid plant lover and grew beautiful rose bushes every year, which he was very proud of.  He was one of the biggest San Francisco 49ers and New York Mets fans you've ever meet. He shared the same love for his other favorite teams, such as Notre Dame and The Blackhawk's. Greg was a very hardworking man and did everything he could to take care of his family. He spent over 20 years in the construction field, which he absolutely loved and showed great skill in everything he touched. He also enjoyed being a coach to his son and other young boys of BJR. He was not only a coach but a mentor to many and this will be missed in his community. He loved his family with all of his heart, was a great father and a husband. He was also a great friend to many and will never be forgotten.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Shea & Levi MacIntosh and stepdaughter, Alexa Roberts. His stepmother, Brenda MacIntosh. His siblings, Wes MacIntosh, wife Natalie MacIntosh and nephews/nieces Brayden, Cassidy, Owen & Murphy. Whitney MacIntosh, boyfriend Josh Coeburn and nieces Emma and Chevelle. Stepbrother, Chad Rice, his wife and 3 children. He is also survived by his uncle, Alan MacIntosh, Aunt Tasha MacIntosh-Himes, her husband, Richard Himes, and daughter Ava, along with several cousins. He will also be greatly missed by his mother-in-law, Diane King and father-in-law, Delbert King.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD, where a celebration of Gregory's life journey will take place at 2pm.
