Helen Elizabeth Coulby

Helen Elizabeth Coulby, 92, of Country Meadows, Frederick, MD passed from this life on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD.

Born on November 11, 1933 in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of Carroll Lewis and Mabel Strine Lindsay.

Helen received her doctorate in Education from Towson State University & taught for many years.

She is survived by her sister in law, Lynn Lindsay, step-children, Adrian Coulby, Eugene Coulby (Delia), Rita Leeland (John), Sandy Shafer (Alan), Robert Coulby, Mary Coulby, as well as many other beloved family & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian M. Coulby & brother, Dick Lindsay.

She'll be remembered for her sense of wit & love of storytelling, playing piano, & jigsaw puzzles.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.

A graveside service at Wayside Church in Southern Maryland will be announced at a later date.
