Irving Ernest {Andy} Rhoderick

Irving Ernest (Andy) Rhoderick went to be with his savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. Andy's loving wife of 63 years, Mary E. Rhoderick, departed his life on Wednesday, July 13, 2006.

Andy was the son of the late Harriet H. Rhoderick. He was born on April 12, 1922 in Frederick.

He is survived by one brother, David L (Icey) Rhoderick of Frederick and a number of nieces and nephews.

Andy retired from Fort Detrick after many years of service. He proudly served his country as a Marine during WW II. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Frederick going both to Church and Sunday School. He was also a past deacon of the Church of Frederick going both to Church and past Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of the FSK American Legion Post 11, NARFE and AARP. He and his wife Mary loved to travel. They especially loved to go to Williamsburg, VA and Lancaster, PA. He loved to play tennis and in his younger years was an avid softball player and was also a baseball coach for the Lion's Club Little League Team.

He will be especially missed by his nephews Ike and wife Cheri, Mike and wife Lynn, Gary and wife Debra, Robbie and wife Tina, Eric and wife Vickie, Butch and wife Pam, Andy, Brian and Scottie, nieces, Susie and husband Rich, Kim and husband Tom, Stacey Cleaver, Amanda and husband Upton, Michelle and husband Keith, Melissa and husband Doug, his cousin Corinne and husband Jon.

Visitation: Andy will be at the Stauffer Funeral Home at 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. There will be viewing at the Funeral on Thursday, December 7, from
2-4 and 7-9.

Services: Funeral Service will Friday, December 8, at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home's Chapel with the Rev. Burnis Barrett conducting the service.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 217 Dill Ave., Frederick, Md 21701.
