Jacob Lee Callahan, a bright and spirited young man, left this world far too soon on July 18th, 2026, at the tender age of 22. Born on March 20, 2004, in Frederick, MD. Jacob was the beloved son of Wendi Devilbiss Mills, brother of Thomas and Mia Mills. Stepson of Gene Mills, with whom he had a special bond with from a young age. He was the grandson of Joseph and Carol Devilbiss, Robert and Rema Rippon. Jacob is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Jay Lee Callahan Jr, and Grandmother Sharon Virginia Eyler.

Jacob graduated from Walkersville High School in 2022. He was also a proud member of FFA where he showcased his dedication. Jacob began working at an early age on the farm with his grandfather Joe {pap} and his uncle Joey. His first job was at age 14 at The Ceresville New Holland, then at age 17 he began working for Jansen Crane Services as a heavy-duty equipment mechanic until his passing. Jake was an excellent mechanic who had a natural talent for fixing things. He loved all the guys he worked with and especially enjoyed the pranks and jokes.

From a young age Jacob was noted for his red hair and his infectious smile. Though brief, Jakes life was filled love, laughter and unforgettable memories. His presence always had a way of lighting up a room and his contagious laughter was enjoyed by all. His zest for life was apparent in everything he did.

Jacob was an avid hunter, loved rodeos, tractor and truck pulls and spending time at the river with family and friends. He also had a love for old country music. He loved hanging out with his friends. Especially his good friends Brett, Stephanie Dove and his favorite little guys, Hunter, Cole and Mason. He also cherished his time spent with Paisley and Raylynn and his ex-fiancé Brittney. Though his life here was short the love and happiness he shared will continue in our hearts forever.
