James Bremner IV

James Bremner IV, formerly of Glenn Dale, Maryland, passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 57.

James was a beloved father, brother, uncle, son, husband, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Janelle Bremner, who was the pride and joy of his life.

James shared a special bond with Janelle through softball and proudly attended all her games and practices throughout her career. Even most recently as Janelle served as assistant coach for Mount Airy Bulldogs 11U and Maryland Sting 12U team, he was always there cheering her on and supporting her every step of the way.

James built a successful career after high school, working his way into leadership as a Head of Security, Portfolio Manager. He will be remembered for his dedication to his work and, most importantly, his love and devotion to his family.

James is survived by his daughter, Janelle; sister, Heather O’Neill; sister-in-law, Susan Zemil; brothers-in-law, Patrick O’Neill and Jeffrey Zemil; nieces and nephews, Kylie O’Neill, Ian O’Neill, Jason Zemil, Julianna Zemil, and Sabrina Zemil; and in-laws, Sonia and Leon Guggenheim.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beth Bremner; his father, James Bremner III; and his mother, Shirley Ann Bremner.

James will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his daughter and family, and the many lives he touched.

May James rest peacefully, reunited with his beloved family.
