James Franklin Murray

James Franklin Murray, 82, of Rocky Ridge, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Faye Murray who predeceased him on December 31, 2024.

Born on July 14, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Franklin Murray and Nina Fredericka (Donaghy) Murray.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1961-1967.

He retired from IBM and Lockheed Martin in the Maintenance Department after many years of services.

He is survived by three children, John Murray, Trisha Walters, and Dianna Roderick; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Murray and wife Loretta, and brother Charles Murray, and late wife Carol; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Ricky Monroe; daughter, Wanda Murray; and son, James Franklin Murray, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 104 East Main Street in Thurmont, MD.

A celebration of his life journey will take place at 12:30 pm from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brian Murray officiating.

Interment will follow at Graceham Moravian Cemetery.
