James “Jim” Rousseau, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 10, 1943, at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC, Jim was the cherished son of George and Teresa Rousseau. From an early age, he was active and athletic, with a love for football and baseball. As a teenager, he worked as a lifeguard, demonstrating both discipline and a natural instinct to care for others.
Jim built a successful career in sales, including his time with Cambrex and Lonza, where he was known for his professionalism, strong relationships, and dedication to his work. He retired in 2017 after many years of commitment to his career, embracing a well-earned period of rest and time with family.
Jim remained passionate about sports throughout his life and was a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins.
Above all, Jim will be remembered for his deep love of family, his steady presence, and the lasting memories he created with those closest to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin; his children, Eric Rousseau (Angie) and Christine Andrukitis (Brad); his stepdaughter, Christy Jennings (Jordan); his brothers, Raymond Rousseau and David Rousseau; his grandchildren, Hagan and Aydan Rousseau, Brandin and Bryce Andrukitis, and Delaney and Nolan Jennings; and Angie’s children, Trent, Hailey, and William “Billy,” all of whom he loved as his own.
Jim’s legacy of warmth, dedication, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.
