Jamie Rager Whipp

Jamie Rager Whipp, age 79, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on November 21, 2025. Born on August 18, 1946, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Jamie led a life filled with warmth, affection, and cherished relationships.

Jamie was married to her loving husband of 64 years, Wayne Whipp. Together, they built a life filled with love and support for their family. Jamie was a devoted mother to her three children: Kelly Whipp Orndorff, (husband Curtis); Joseph "Joe" Whipp, (wife Ginny); and Lee Whipp, (wife Debbie). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, whom she adored: Curtis (Curtie) Orndorff, Brian Orndorff (Wife Jenny), Heather Kinney, (husband Bobby); Brianna Goshorn, (husband Yancey); Brandon Whipp (Wife- Jess); Derrick Whipp; and Ciara Whipp.. She is further survived by 9 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Zach, Noah, Nathan, Aubrey, Brooklyn, Brantley, Brianna and Brooklyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jamie shared a special bond with her sister, Joni Rager, and her sister-in-law, Helen Rager. Throughout her life, she also valued her relationship with her very close friend, Debbie Brawner, who was a source of kindness and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Bartgis Rager and James Edgar Rager, and her brother, Joseph "Jackie" Rager.

As a nurse at FCPA for more than 20 years, Jamie was devoted to her patients thru her compassion and kindness, Jamie had many interests that brought joy to her life, including visiting Myrtle Beach and shopping. Her zest for life and dedication to family will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick on November 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place the following day, November 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at Stauffer Funeral Home. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at Manor Reformed Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
