Jane Mongold Rogers, 88, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. She was the wife of the late Roy N. Rogers who died in 2003 and Charles S. Mongold who died in 1987.
Born on August 19, 1937, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late LTC Stewart Gordon Cook and Margaret King Cook.
Jane was a lifelong member of Calvary United Methodist church and was the Secretary there for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching, playing sports and being with family. She was part of Golden Girls, Senior Softball out of Vienna, VA.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Stimeling (Paul) of Vero Beach, FL, Son, Douglas D. Mongold (Teresa) of Frederick, MD, Son , David G. Mongold of New Windsor, MD, Daughter, Kathryn K. Swope(David) of New Windsor, MD, Stepdaughter, Tammy Prosser of Lake George, New York, Grandchildren, Thomas Mongold (Erin), Cortney Meadowcroft (Peter), Aja Mongold (Lester), Meagan Montonario (Ryan), Ashley Mongold, Samantha Mongold , Step grandchild, Devon Ford, Great Grandchildren, Lincoln Marshall, Elena, Zane and Ella. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas B. Cook.
The family will receive friends from 4-7PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD.
A celebration of Jane’s life will take place at 11AM on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main Street in Mt. Airy, MD. Rev. Mark Gorham, Douglas Mongold, Lay Speaker, and Rev. Carol Yocum will officiate. Interment will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery following the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice in leu of flowers.
