Janet Gertrude Deener

Janet Gertrude Deener, 84, of Frederick, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. 

Born on August 6, 1939, in Weverton, MD, she was the daughter of Claude R. and Katheryn E. (Nokes) Thompson.

She is survived by her granddaughter that she raised from just two weeks old, Danielle Bardell; her son, Robert Deener; granddaughter, Erick Barger; grandson, Preston Deener; great-grandchildren, Blake Bardell, Liberty Wilson, Faith Wilson, Joey Wilson, Aliannah, and Ryan Barger. Her family meant everything to her. 

Janet loved going shopping and going to flea markets. She loved going outside sitting and gardening. Gardening was always something she looked forward in doing. 

A celebration of Janet's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road in Brownsville. Rev. Calvin Park will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will be held at Brownsville Heights Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
